Erdem Genç chosen as 'rock artist of the future'

Erdem Genç, who added color to this year's fifth Turkey Youth Awards with his new rock video, received the 'Special Youth Award.'

This year's fifth Turkey Youth Awards found their winners. At the ceremony, where winners were determined by the votes of more than 100,000 young people, Erdem Genç — who added color to the night with his new rock video and was described as an artist who will be much talked about in the future — received the Special Youth Award. At the event, hosted by well-known showman and presenter Ceyhun Yılmaz, Turkey Youth Awards Board Chairman Maksut Coşkun Dokunulmaz thanked all the artists and guests in attendance, and Reynmen was also among those who took part in the ceremony, at which awards were handed out in numerous categories.

At the ceremony, Erdem Genç also shared an anecdote about Ceyhun Yılmaz. Recalling that when his home in Şişli was burgled for the third time, a news site reported the story on Twitter, and Ceyhun Yılmaz had commented, "You could've at least gotten a lock made," Genç revealed that "that was my house" — a remark that drew laughter.
