Erdem Genç, who reached music lovers with his 2019 album “Motivasyon”, has released “Evim Sensin” (You Are My Home), the first single from his new album. Combining rock sounds with an emotional narrative, the song focuses on the concepts of belonging and love.

Erdem Genç, who has been involved in music since his high-school years and plays percussion as well as being a rock vocalist, is reaching listeners with “Evim Sensin”, the first step in his preparations for a new album.

Continuing to make music after his first album, the experimental hard rock record “Motivasyon”, Genç this time brings powerful rock sounds together with an emotional narrative. “Evim Sensin” stands out as the first single from the artist’s new album, which is still in preparation.

“Evim Sensin” asks where a person finds a true sense of belonging amid the cities, roads and addresses that change through the different stages of life.

Opening with the lines “Yollar geçti ömrümüzden, bavullar düşmedi elimizden” (“Roads have run through our lives, the suitcases never left our hands”), the song carries the idea of home beyond a physical place. At the heart of the song lies the thought that the place where a person feels they belong may sometimes be not a city or a country, but another person.

With its melodic structure, rock arrangement and catchy chorus, “Evim Sensin” invites listeners to rethink the journeys in their own lives and their sense of belonging.

Music and Entrepreneurship Together

Active in the corporate events and motivation sector with M3 Works, which he founded in 2005, Erdem Genç pursues his professional business life alongside music.

Having brought an experimental hard rock approach together with different musical elements on “Motivasyon”, the seven-track album he released in 2019, the artist continues to explore different modes of expression in rock music on his new album, which is still in preparation.

A Mechanical Engineering graduate of Yıldız Technical University, Erdem Genç studied Marketing Management at Boğaziçi University and earned an MBA at Özyeğin University. He completed his vocal training with Pentagram vocalist Murat İlkan and soprano Günay Acar of the İTÜ Conservatory.

Genç, who has played in various bands since his high-school years, recorded a demo/EP titled “Dreams Have No Limits” in 2003. In 2019, he released his first album, “Motivasyon”.

Genç, who performs with his Varillaz and Ritmbox projects and runs percussion and rhythm workshops, has published four books in the fields of personal development and literature. He has also received awards such as “Turkey’s Most Outstanding Young Person” and “Young Entrepreneur of the Year”.
