İstanbul Haber – Erdem Genç
Human resources managers gave a concert in 15 minutes
At the end of his "Rhythm of Performance" presentation, Erdem Genç gave a concert watched live by thousands of employees.
A first took place at the Performance, Compensation and Reward Management Summit, held at a hotel in Istanbul on 21-22 November 2018 with the participation of more than 200 Human Resources specialists from Turkey's largest companies. At the end of his "Rhythm of Performance" presentation, Erdem Genç gave a concert watched live by thousands of employees.
Explaining that each department within a company resembles a different instrument in an orchestra, Genç said, "Music is created when different sounds and different colors come together in harmonious unity. For that, all our instruments — our departments — need to perform at a high level."
The speaker then illustrated this with instruments such as darbukas, tambourines, maracas, shakers and tumbas distributed by his assistants, noting that through the power of teamwork he could give a live concert with the Human Resources managers and specialists of dozens of major companies in just 15 minutes.
Opening with the words "It will be wonderful to see what you can achieve when teamwork and the power of motivation come together," the trainer introduced the instruments one by one, had the relevant groups work together as teams, and then brought all the teams together to play in a joint percussion workshop.
Erdem Genç, who has run the Ritmbox Rhythm Workshop with M3 Works for 14 years, explained how our institutional performance can rise as our individual performances increase. Participants said they were pleased that such a first had taken place at this annual summit and expressed hope of seeing similar activities at future summits.
