Why Did I Have a Cut-out of Myself Made?

I told the story of the cut-out you see in the photo in my interview, which will appear in the newspaper Milliyet on 20 December

While I was studying Marketing Management in the Events and Entertainment Sector at Boğaziçi Üniversitesi, work became so busy that I couldn’t make it to the final presentation. I rang my lecturer and said, “Since the course is about marketing, I’ll do something creative and be there one way or another all the same. Would you accept that?” “What, are you going to produce a hologram?” he laughed. I said I would do something more realistic, something you could touch. I sent this cut-out and gave my presentation over a live link. At the end of the class all my classmates apparently included it in the group photo, took selfies with it and shared them on social media 🙂
